Video Conferencing Tools That You Need (part 2 of 2)

Some examples of these include Acrobat Connect Pro formerly known as Breeze, Horizon Live Classroom, WebEx, Microsoft Live Meeting and Marratech. You can try your luck to see if there are freeware tools around as well so you can use these tools for free. Some examples of these include Web diagnostics, AB Cam, Motion Detection and Instant Translator.

Since there are quite many and it is really hard to pick one, narrow down your choices by asking friends and family who have used this before or read reviews that have been posted. Eventually, you will be able to find the right software that has the video conferencing tools you are looking for so can get the most out of this system.

When downloading any of these tools, make sure that your PC meets the minimum requirements that are needed to make it work. Otherwise, you are wasting your time getting something you can’t use in the first place.

Many people perceive video conferencing as a virtual trip that can take you to different parts of the globe. This is perhaps because you connect with people not only in the US but also in other countries making distance no longer an obstacle.

The video conferencing tools mentioned can do a lot for those that use this medium to finish a project, conduct in house training or make a business decision. Of course these tools will not function on their own since you have to learn how to use them. The best part about any of these is that they all user-friendly so you don’t have to attend a class to learn how to use the system.

You just have to be patient and eventually, you will be able to use this to its full potential.

Video Conferencing Tools That You Need (part 1 of 2)

What is the difference between video conferencing equipment and video conferencing tools? When we talk about equipment, we are referring to the hardware and software that is used to make this happen. But when we talk about tools, these are things that you can add to enrich the video conferencing experience.

How do you enrich this experience? By using software programs that can do more than just let you see and hear the other person.

A good example is when you are talking to someone and then another person comes along. You don’t want to end one conversation just to begin with another so the best thing for you to do is to chat with the other party by sending text messages.

Another tool is the ability of the program to have an interactive whiteboard so both sides can see the same document and make changes instantaneously. This is useful when you are finalizing the paperwork of any project that will be submitted.

Sometimes, you want to express to people how you feel and instead of seeing this in your face, you can do this by using emotional icons or emoticons.

It will also be cool to have a video conferencing tool that allows you to surf the web. This will be useful when you need to put in additional information or have suddenly found new ones that should also be mentioned.

Majority of the video conferencing tools can be found online and downloaded into your computer. Some offer a 30 day trial and charge around $20 to $30 monthly.

Tai Chi History (part 2 of 2)

The modern-day Yang style came from the grandson of Yang Lu Chan named Yang Cheng Fu. This paved the way to introducing one of the longest accounts in the history of Tai Chi. Its form consists of 128 postures. It is characterized by the warding off of energy using leaning movements with slow motion techniques.

The generation of the Yang family taught their students the techniques on Tai Chi. The masters chose their earnest students and made a lineage that gave birth to other styles namely Sun, Wu, and Hao. These styles may differ in the way they are portrayed and the performance differs as well but the principles that were observed by Chang San Feng remains the same.

There was this one student of Yang Cheng Fu named Cheng Man Ching. Cheng became the master of his own generation because of the revisions that he made with Tai Chi Chuan. One of the most famous changes that he made was shortening the form to a 37-posture Tai Chi. This is change made by Cheng is now the most famous form of Tai Chi that is practiced till this day.

When Cheng came to the U.S., he tried to teach and took on the interest of some students in all aspects of life. By doing so, he made the form popular to every men and women. This new form introduced by Cheng is originally known as the Yang Style in the shorter form. It become widespread, today, it is more popular with the name Cheng Style of Tai Chi.

The form of Cheng’s Tai Chi is characterized by an upright spine position, rolling back of energy and a softness that has its powerful attitude.

Taoism is the main contributor of the idea why, in the first place, Tai Chi was formed. This is because Taoism reflects teachings that fundamentally contribute to the reflective, mystic and serene view of the world and the nature we live in.

Tai Chi History (part 1 of 2)

Tai Chi, also known as Tai Chi Chuan, was handed down from different generations since its creation by Chang San-Feng. It was during the Sung Dynasty that this was introduced and from that moment on, there were numerous accounts of the form.

The form, or kung chia in Chinese language, are the different movements made through Tai Chi. One of the most common and famous form is the manipulation of the snake and the crane fighting. Master Chang, one of the advocates, copied this kind of fighting style and transformed it into a softer version of their coiling movements. The form that was developed had 13 postures that correspond with the trigrams and the Five Elements.

Master Chang’s lineage was not clear but what historians know is that he is a certain Chiang Fah. Chiang’s form was taught to a young man named as Chen Wang Ting. Chen was known to practice the art of Tai Chi in 1644. Descendants of Chen Wang Ting practiced their family form. Some of the characteristics of their form is done with emphasis on low stances, a silk-reeling move, and fast movements and were practiced periodically.

Tai Chi that was formed by the Chen family was secretly practiced and no one was allowed to use it outside of their home. But during the time of Chen Chang Hsin, which was in the year 1800, the tradition broke. He taught all of his family Tai Chi secrets and styles to his student, Yang Lu Chan.

Boxing Tips: Become A Better Fighter (part 2 of 2)

Composure – If you get hit by a big punch, knock the wind of you from body punches, or too tired to even keep your hands up and block the shots coming at you, keeping your composure will save you from the almost inevitable knockout. When you are hurt, you can either clinch or move around, trying not to show that you have been affected by your opponent's barrage of punches. Composure will tell you that you should not engage if you are hurt. Be smart is another way to put it. Do not do something that you will regret later.

Conditioning – Before you step into the ring, you carry everything you have acquired and learned while on training. Solid conditioning will enable you to tolerate punches from your opponent, throw punches at the right time, and remain standing throughout the fight.

Focus – Awareness inside the ring is as important as choosing your punches carefully. Focus allows you to read the body movement of your opponent, to pay attention on your game plan, to get in touched with the moment and the situation at hand, and to become more aware on your defensive and offensive strategy.

Movement – If you are not punching, you are moving. That is the rule and the first and last thing you should remember while on the ring. Movement is a quintessential requirement to become a good boxer. But not just any movement. A good movement maximizes the whole ring and not just the center or one corner. Basically, the reason why you move is to avoid becoming a sitting duck and to become an elusive target, thus avoiding punches.

Meanwhile, movement can also be used to frustrate your opponent. Once your opponent gets frustrated, he may start swinging punches wildly which will leave him open for a counter punch.

Practice is said to be the best way to become a boxer. But the question is: "Practice what?" Are you going to practice punching, combination, movement, or speed? The fact is, to become a better fighter you need to have it all. The issue here is becoming better in all aspects of boxing too soon is too much for a beginner or even for a seasoned fighter to handle, especially when not guided properly. There are several ways to become a better boxing. Since we cannot discuss it everything, let us mention some of them:

Getting Hit - No matter how good a boxer is, he will get hit by a punch. If he is unlucky enough, he might even go down. Getting hit is an inevitable fact in boxing. So how will you train for the inevitable? There are several training techniques that improve the ability of a boxer to avoid punches thrown by his opponent. Pain tolerance training is also a big help to improve the boxer's resistance both to heavy blows and continuous barrage of punches.

Defense – "Hit and not get hit." We are all familiar with this boxing concept. As what we have mentioned, getting hit is an inevitable fact in boxing but by working on your defenses, you will be able to minimize the amount of punches you receive, thus, reducing the amount of damage you get during the fight. Working on your weaknesses will improve your strengths. By doing sparring sessions and focusing more on what you should develop will help you become a better fighter.

A Guide on How to Confirm a Yeast Infection (part 2 of 2)

The most obvious symptom of a yeast infection is the discomfort in the affected area. This is certainly  one of the revealing and most common symptoms of a yeast infection. The kind of discomfort is often described as an intense burning or itching sensation. Pain in urinating is experienced because of the irritated lining of the vaginal area. In severe cases the infected individual may experience extreme discomfort in the area that carrying out normal daily activities such as walking is impaired. Sexual intercourse too becomes painful for most affected women.

Another way which will help you consider the likelihood of a yeast infect ion is by taking note of the appearance of the affected area. Most individuals afflicted with a yeast infection describe in their private area – specifically, in the vaginal area – in terms of an unsightly white clump of material that resembles curdled milk. Redness and soreness is evident in the affected area. A discharge may or may not be present, depending on the case. Note that only about 20% of women afflicted the infection report the presence of a discharge in the vaginal area. The discharge may be clear to whitish or slightly yellowish, and may be anywhere from thin to thick consistency.

Lastly, another sign that may help how to confirm a yeast infection is the distinct odor. The discharge may or may not be accompanied by a starchy odor, the kind that resembles bread or beer. Notice that yeast is used in bread making as a leavening agent, and in beer making for fermentation. That is because the infection basically is a fungal infection – commonly caused by Candida albicans, a form of yeast.

A Guide on How to Confirm a Yeast Infection (part 1 of 2)

The best way how to confirm a yeast infection is either you make an appointment with your doctor to perform a diagnosis or taking an over the counter test. Your doctor will perform a physical assessment and take a sample of your vaginal discharge. An over the counter test, on the other hand, works much like a home pregnancy kit test where the pH balance in your system is tested to confirm the presence of a yeast infection.

It is always a good idea to confirm that you have a yeast infection before finally deciding to treat it with over the counter medications. You may end up doing even more harm to your self if you treat a condition that you do not have. A yeast infection is a bothersome condition, to say the least. However, self medicating a suspected yeast infection may disrupt the normal pH balance of the vaginal area, causing the proliferation of microorganisms which may lead to actual infections.

The trouble with resorting to over the counter yeast infection medications right away is that women are using them for the treatment of something they do not actually have. A woman who goes through certain signs and symptoms in and around her vaginal area may immediately think she is experiencing a yeast infection. But the truth is there are many other infections that also demonstrate the presenting signs and symptoms of a yeast infection. These may include bacterial vaginosis, Chlamydia and even gonorrhea.

However, there are three specific signs and symptoms of a yeast infection: discomfort, appearance and odor.  If you are experiencing the stated signs and symptoms, you are most likely suffering a yeast infection.
